    ALL ABOUT TIMING

    The time between selling your current home and buying a new one can be the most stressful of all because you may not be financially able to carry two mortgages at once. Keep in mind that most homes will sell quickly and that you probably will be able to move and not have to pay additional mortgage payments. If this does occur, however, consider renting the property to cover these payments until the home sells.

    When looking for a new home, you should not disclose any financial information, the fact that you need to sell another home, or that you have another mortgage to pay as these factors may work against you. Always be pleasant at an open house or showing, but don't let too many of your emotions show. You can always call the realtor back and make an offer the next day. Settling on a home is never a good idea because you may end up hating it later on.
