    A treasure trove of toys

If you have young kids this tends to work especially well. Again you will need something like a hamper or an empty crate.

Every evening after playtime has come and just before it goes, make it a point to get together with you kids and put things away.

Make it look like fun instead of a chore, and start at a young age. Most kids will like the idea of playing this game – you just need to be quick enough to catch them before they upend the whole thing again when they¡Çre done!

My sister used a plain wooden box which she then painted to resemble a pirate¡Çs treasure chest.

This makes it more interesting for the kids to put things back into their very own treasure chest, and it helps to get rid of the daily clutter of toys.

It can also be a relief not to have to keep picking up after the kids, or even to be constantly stepping or tripping over small items.
